Students will be taught the dance movements....for body, hips, shoulders, as well as basic spins, turns and how to lead a partner. They will also learn Cuban “Rueda” ... a style which means ‘that everyone dances with everyone else, switching partners while dancing’.  The first 20-25 minutes of each lesson will be warm-up, following the music, and learning the different steps of Cuban Salsa.  As class progresses, focus will also include leading and dancing with one’s partner, learning and carrying out the basic spins.  The class is a wonderful opportunity to learn and be involved with both dancing and music, which are two very important aspects of Cuban culture.  And you’ll have a ton of fun!!

Carlos Espino has been dancing Cuban Salsa for over 20 years.  His method has been described by students and teachers as one that is “easy-to-follow and fun to learn”.  Carlos has taught Cuban Salsa lessons for a little over a year with professional dance instructor, Manuel Suares.  Carlos loves to dance and to teach!

How to Know if He or She is Right for You  -- Class Date: January 29th

Picking the right person can make all the difference. But in both early relationships as well as longer-term partnerships it can feel confusing & hard to know for sure whether your partner is right for you. This course will show you how to have greater clarity & a more positive mindset. You'll learn the 10 biggest mistakes in choosing a partner, and how to identify your unique "Red," "Yellow," and "Green" flags in relationships. You will learn how to move beyond a past relationship which may be holding you back. You'll also get advice & support in how to make your relationship better or, if necessary, how to leave in the best way possible.

Secrets Happy Couples Know --  Class Date: February 26th

Having a more fulfilling relationship isn't a matter of luck. There are specific, achievable habits, attitudes, and ways of communicating that even one partner can do to significantly improve a relationship. This entertaining class teaches proven techniques about how to be a happier couple. You'll learn how to use conflict and complaints to move closer together rather than further apart. You'll learn several ways to rekindle romance. And you'll learn how to decode your partner's sometimes confusing behavior and communication so you can work better together as a couple.

Dr. Dan Neuharth is a bestselling author and licensed marriage and family therapist with 15 years' experience.  He has appeared on national media including Oprah and Good Morning America and is the author of If You Had Controlling Parents: How to Make Peace with Your Past and Take Your Place in the World, and Secrets You Keep From Yourself: How to Stop Sabotaging Your Happiness.  He has a private psychotherapy practice in Greenbrae, leads workshops, and gives talks to both consumer and professional audiences on relationships, creativity, family life, and emotional & mental health.
