SRD Code of Conduct

For the enjoyment and safety of everyone, Strawberry Recreation District expects all participants to treat the people and facilities connected to SRD with respect and abide by all rules and direction from the SRD staff. Strawberry Recreation District reserves the right to refuse service or passes to anyone for failure to abide by these standards. Privileges, including passes, may be revoked at any time by authorized personnel.

SRD uses 24-hour video surveillance throughout the facility, for the security and safety of all patrons and staff.

IMPORTANT: some programs, memberships, rentals and passes may have different registration and cancelation policies. Please carefully review registration forms for program specific rules and policies.

  • All activities, dates, and fees are subject to change.
  • Age requirements are based on the participant’s age as of the first day of class. (SRD reserves the right to request proof of age for classes with age restrictions.)
  • Participants may not make up missed classes. Make-up classes will only be scheduled in the event of an SRD cancellation.
  • If a class is full, your name will be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified by phone. If a space becomes available or a new class is added, you will be contacted. Please do not attend the first class unless you have been notified.
  • Programs that do not meet minimum enrollment may be cancelled. In such cases, a refund will be issued.
  • Returned checks are subject to a $25 service charge.
  • For your child’s safety, please pick up students promptly at the end of class or program.
  • For youth classes and programs, SRD will make every effort to move activities indoors during inclement weather.
  • For adult classes and programs, inclement weather will typically result in cancellation, and a refund will be issued.
  • Youth sports and outdoor classes include indoor curriculum plans when possible.

How To Register for Passes & Programs

Please visit our RecDesk website to register for all classes, passes and camp programs.

  • Full Payment of Class Fees VISA/MC/AMEX/DISCOVER online.
  • Check (made out to SRD) or Cash in the SRD Main Office.
  • Class registration remains on a first come first served basis.
  • All activities, dates and fees are subject to change.
  • Please register for classes early to avoid classes being canceled.
  • There is a 3% processing fee for all credit card payments
  • Note: some programs and passes may have different registration and cancelation policies. Please carefully review registration forms for program specific rules and policies.

Refund Policy – Programs

  • Programs, activities, memberships and events have refund/credit restrictions.
  • Refund/Credit requests may be made by phone or in person during regular business hours, and at anytime by email.

Refunds Requested by Patrons

  • Refund requests made more than two weeks before the program start date:
    • Programs under $90 will incur a $10 cancellation fee.
    • Programs $90 or more will incur a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Refund requests made between one and two weeks before the program start date will receive a 50% refund.
  • Refund requests made less than one week before the program start date are not eligible for a refund.

Courses & Memberships

  • Class, program, membership, and event cancellation policies are outlined in the registration forms and waivers. Please review these documents carefully before signing.

Rental Policies

  • To secure a facility rental, the following must be submitted:
    • A RecDesk account
    • A signed rental agreement
    • A deposit
    • Security guard payment (required for parties of more than 100 guests)
  • Full payment for rentals and parties is required at the time of booking. SRD cannot hold reservation times without payment in full.
  • Ongoing/Periodic Rental Rate: To qualify, renters must make a minimum of five (5) separate prepaid bookings per year.

SRD Rental Cancellation & Refund Policies*

  • All refunds are subject to a $25 processing fee.
  • Rental fees and deposits paid by credit card are subject to a 3% non-refundable credit card processing fee.
  • Cancellations/Refunds:
    • One full calendar month or more before the event: 100% refund (less $25 processing fee).
    • Less than one month but more than two weeks before the event: 50% refund (less $25 processing fee).
    • Less than two weeks before the event: No refund.
  • Weather & Air Quality: Events canceled due to rainouts or hazardous AQI may be refunded and/or rebooked, subject to availability.
  • All cancellations will receive a full deposit refund.

Strawberry Recreation District does not discriminate against any individual with a disability. Upon request, SRD publications, programs and activities will be made available in an alternate format to persons with disabilities.

Service dogs are permitted on SRD property.

Service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the individual’s disability.  

A service animal must be under the control of its handler. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of tasks. 

Service dogs that reside in Marin, should be vaccinated and licensed with Marin Humane Society. Owners living outside Marin should have equivalent registration from their county or city government agency. Emotional support and therapy dogs do not qualify for an SRD exemption. Thank you for your adherence to this policy.
