No. While we are happy to accept students who do not attend Strawberry Point, you will need to find a way to transport them to SRD.

Yes! Our Play Club staff will pick up your children from Strawberry Point Elementary School right when school lets out and walk them across the street to Strawberry Rec. Our staff picks up TK and K students from their classrooms, 1st – 5th grade students come meet our counselors outside on the blacktop.

No. Please make sure to pack snacks for your child for Play Club. We have some crackers in our office for medical emergencies

We operate on a 10:1 kid:counselor ratio. For every 10 students attending Play Club, we will have an additional counselor working. Our youth programs supervisor and coordinator are also on site at all times and often helping with Play Club.

About 40-70 students come to Play Club each day. That number varies from session to session.

Yes! The first ~20 minutes of Play Club are a quiet period dedicated to eating snack and working on homework with assistance from the counselors. Students can continue to work on homework after the quiet period, and they will still receive counselor assistance if needed.

Please either update your authorized pick-up form on your child’s account online or email Sam (rec@strawberryrec.org) letting him know.

Please call our office (415-383-6494) and let us know your ETA. We will have your child wait in the office until you arrive. There is a $1/minute late fee for late pick-ups.

Yes! Our staff will wait at the school if we’re missing any kids and haven’t heard that we didn’t need to pick them up that day. Please let us know if we don’t need to pick your child up by calling our office (415-383-6494) or emailing Sam (rec@strawberryrec.org).

No. We provide TK and Kindergarten students with their own classroom while the rest of the students are in the gym. Occasionally, we will recombine the grade levels after 5:00pm, during special events such as performances in the gym, or when playing outside.
