CAMP REVIEWS

By the way I am very impressed and happy with this camp and will be back in the future!

Thank you for creating such a great experience. L is 5 years old and this is his first year here.

Also is there someone I can reach out to for feedback on his swim skills?  I would like to amp up his swim and wanted to see if there could be an assessment of his swim skills for strawberry swim.

thank you! C.S

Hi Marco,
Just wanted to drop a note and let you know what a great camp experience F is having. We have tried many over the years and this is the first she has been really excited about. It’s a testament to you and your staff and I really appreciate that.

Have a wonderful day!
A.T.

Hi!
My kids, J (group 6) and A (group 3), are enjoying camp so much and are begging to go an additional week. Do you happen to have the week of July 17 available? It was booked when I initially signed up. If not, any other week in July?

Best,
J

Hi Marco,

I just wanted to say what a fun time the kids had at Strawberry Rec Camp 1. We didn’t know what to expect and you all exceeded any expectations we could have had. It was a lot of fun for the girls (and I’m sure all the campers, and likely even the counselors.) I know you put a TON of work into these. Thanks for making it super special!

Hi Marco!

My daughter L has been loving camp!

We are flying out to Minnesota on Friday and I wanted to pick her up around 1pm. Would she still be able to complete the egg drop?

Thanks so much,

A

Hi Marco!

I just wanted to send a quick message your way after J first week of full day camp. I want to thank you so much for putting on such a great program! J has loved every moment of it. I had anticipated that it might be a hard adjustment to something full day but he comes home in a great mood and telling stories from his day – I can see that he is engaged and well supported. I can’t tell you how meaningful this is to our family. I whole heartedly thank you!

I don’t know if your wife has delivered yet, but I wish joy and happiness in this next chapter!

K

Hi there,

My son W was in camp with y’all last week. He LOVED it and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. He cried at camp drop off this morning because it was not strawberry rec camp…

Soo do you have space for him to join next week by any chance? Haha 🙂

Thanks

R.M.

Change of Clothes

Sunscreen

Hat

Swimsuit

Towel

Extra snacks (Nut Free)

How many children will be in each group?

The camp groups’ sizes are determined by total camp enrollment and the age distribution. Groups are created based on age and typically have between 12-20 kids.

Can I stay with my child throughout the day?

We ask that all parents drop off at their designated drop off locations and do not enter the gym or camp spaces. For special circumstances, please speak with the camp director before your child’s first day of camp

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?

You will receive an email the week before camp that indicates what group your camper will be in and the location for their group’s drop off and pick up.

If a week of camp is sold out, will more spots be added?

Unfortunately, no. Our maximum enrollment number is based on the limitations of the space and the amount of counselors working each week. Make sure to add your child to the waitlist so you’ll be notified if a spot opens up!

When do I know I am off the waitlist?

You will receive an email or phone call to inform you are off the waitlist.

What are the refund and cancellation policies?

100% refund, less $25.00 cancelation fee per session, per camper, will be issued up until two full weeks prior to the start of the program. (EX: If program begins on Monday, notification must be received by 9 am two Mondays prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund).

50% refunds will be issued up until one full week before the start of the program. (EX: If program begins on Monday, notification must be received by 9 am one Monday prior to the start of the program to receive a 50% refund).

Program fees are non-refundable beyond policy time limits stated above. No refunds requests will be granted if received less than 7 days prior to the start of the program/class/event. Credit card processing fees are non-refundable.

Can my child switch groups during the week?

Yes, if the group they want to switch into isn’t full. If your child wants to switch into a group with 20 or more kids, we will need to check with the counselors of the group first.

What if my child has a prior obligation during camp and I need to pick up early?

Yes! Please call our office (415-383-6494) and let us know who you will be picking up and what time. We allow early pick ups until 3:30, but no early pick ups from 3:30 and 4:00.

Are the counselors trained?

Camp counselors complete an in person training and online training prior to the start of camp.

Can my child be in a group with their friend or can I ask my child is not in a group with another camper?

Yes! Please email rec@strawberry.org your child’s full name, your child’s friend(s) full name, and the camp week they will be attending together. All information must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to the start of camp for the request to be considered. Submitting a friend request does not guarantee all friends will be together, but we do the best we can to accommodate as many requests as possible.

If you do not want your child paired with another camper, please follow the steps above.

What if my child cannot attend every day of the camp?

Please inform the camp director so we can account for every child in the group.    We will not be able to prorate the week.
